Our partners in Friesland and Europe

We work together with many local partners in Friesland. All of whom have a passion and goal: to make holidaymakers and business travellers as happy as possible - where possible in a sustainable way - and who want to constantly innovate.

For this purpose, we also follow courses and training every year from the province of Friesland and the municipality of Leeuwarden. And we are a member of various tourism and business networks in Jirnsum, Leeuwarden and Friesland.

We also work together with the University of Applied Sciences NHL Stenden and Firda, the MBO of Friesland (formerly Friesland College and ROC Friese Poort). Students help us with their practical assignment/research or in Living Labs how we as Mauritiuskerk B&B can improve in areas such as sustainability, innovation, heritage, brand awareness and marketing. We as church owners also learn a lot from this; and we hope that students also learn from our experience in business/government and from our core values such as sustainable living, openness, transparency, social entrepreneurship and having fun.

Together we are stronger.

In 2023/24 we participated in the EU innovative data project for SMEs in the tourism sector. Thanks to this project we were able to improve our website and reach our guests better. We also got to know other tourism companies and SME data companies; this network helps us to better put ourselves and Friesland on the map in Europe as a tourist destination.
