Our church is open for business & long term rental
Business customers – entrepreneurs, companies and government – are increasingly finding our Mauritius church in Jirnsum. The rental possibilities are diverse: a few days, weeks, several months, even half a year.
Our two studios are fully furnished and the kitchens are fully equipped. Also easy: use of washing machine and dryer are included in the rental price. Parking on our church square is free for guests of the Mauritius Church.
The location of Jirnsum – centrally located between the capital Leeuwarden, Sneek and Heerenveen – makes the location of the church extra attractive. Schiphol is only a 1.5 hour drive away.
Examples of business and long-term rentals from the past year:
* Entrepreneurs/horse lovers like to come to us, for example for the annual Stallion Inspection and Royal Friesian.
* A company rents a church apartment for 8 weeks for its IT engineer from Italy, who repairs windmills in Friesland.
* Buyers or owners of a boat, especially from Germany, regularly stay with us while their boat is being made ready to sail – or during their search for a new boat.
* Entrepreneurs from the Brainport Eindhoven region or the Randstad sleep and work with us in Jirnsum during their business visits to Friesland.
* Interns (mbo, hbo or wo) who do an internship in Friesland rent our church studio as a base. For those who need to be easily and quickly reachable at night (e.g. interns in the medical sector), the central location of the Mauritiuskerk near the A32 is a good choice.
* Family and fans of skaters who participate in the various championships at Thialf also know where to find our Mauritius Church.
Invoice and VAT
Business customers receive a business invoice from Mauritiuskerk BV, with which they can settle the 9% VAT (as of 1-1-2026: increased 21% VAT) with the tax authorities.
Rental for 1 day/night
Business relations who return regularly can also rent our church studios for 1 night/day, also in high season (when there is room).
Breakfast
Breakfast is not automatically included in the standard price - and can be ordered separately (also vegetarian, vegan). Supermarkets such as Poeisz and Jumbo deliver their groceries to our church when guests personally place online orders.
