Sunday Sermon: Put Some Fire Aside
We regularly share our Sunday sermon :-) on our social media: a poem or song to reflect on, listen to or sing along. The songs can be heard or seen on Spotify and/or YouTube.
The first 'sermon' of the first Sunday of 2025 reads: Put some fire aside.
Put some fire aside* In due time
In due time
If necessary, to heat the other
Now set aside an hour
In case things get difficult later on
To wrest you from two sweet arms
Don't want everything at once
Even though you are alone now
There's always a
One just for you
Set aside some courage
For when the time comes
You suddenly lack courage
Put some language aside
As in due time
Love would prevent you from speaking
Oh, society
Demands of you, that you
Gets caught up in the violence of news and newspapers
Oh, society
Demands of you, that you
Burns like a candle at both ends
Don't live to the limit
Don't live too intensely
Treat yourself as a person
Another silent wish
And put some power aside
In due time
If necessary, to support the other
And put aside a song
As in due time
You want something other than disco beats
No one knows yet how
Nobody knows when
Your beautiful dreams come true
But prepare yourself
That one time
If that one day may come
Feeling of fading away
The flower has not yet withered
Make sure you have stock
Pure and untouched
Something of all the good
That you have saved
From bygone sentiments...
Something of all the love
Carefully saved
For a love in a new #spring
